2023 Toyota Tundra
If you're looking for a full-size pickup, you'll find quite a few options available. While many have something special to offer, you shouldn't settle for anything less than the best when it comes to your next ride. That's why the new Tundra may be the perfect option. Learn all about the 2023 Toyota Tundra, and discover some of the best features it has to offer.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
With five trim levels to choose from, the Tundra comes with plenty of exterior features to customize as you see fit. To begin with, the SR trim offers LED headlights, 18-inch steel wheels, and a stylish black grille. If that's not quite enough for your tastes, you may be more interested in the SR5 and its alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and deck rail system.
If you're looking for a serious upgrade, consider the Limited trim level and its 20-inch gray-painted alloy wheels. You'll also get power-folding side mirrors with a reverse tilt-down feature here. Opt for the Platinum trim, on the other hand, and the wheels come in a stylish dark-gray alloy, and you get LED headlights with auto-leveling adjustment. The final trim is the 1794 Edition, which has its own special interior inlays and paint job to celebrate when Toyota's Texas ranch factory was founded.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the Tundra, you'll find one of two engine options, and they both pack a serious punch and can get you where you need to go in reliable style. The base-level engine is a powerful V-6 with a 3.5-liter displacement and twin-turbocharged power offering 389 horsepower with 479 pound-feet of torque. The other option is a hybrid version of that engine that's paired with an electric motor to create 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
If you're looking for impressive performance, one of the first factors you'll likely consider is capability. Fortunately, the Tundra has plenty thanks to its impressive maximum towing capacity of 12,000 pounds. The hybrid version still has plenty of capability too, with a maximum capacity of 11,450 pounds. In terms of payload, the standard engine can handle 1,940 pounds, while the hybrid offers a capacity of 1,680 pounds.
Interior
The interior of your Tundra ultimately depends on whether you opt for more standard features or the unique aesthetic of the 1794 Edition, but you get comfort and utility either way. Cubby storage is available with more spaces to stow items than you might think. You'll also find a standard 8-inch infotainment screen with the option to upgrade to a 14-inch horizontal screen. The bigger screen is larger than any screen you'll find in any other truck in this class.
Safety Features
The Tundra lets you drive with peace of mind thanks to its array of alluring safety features including automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control. You even get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert standard on all models. Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist are standard too.
